My goal with this memorial scholarship fund is to help prospective students in the fields of public service or law. The decision to create this fund stems from my own ongoing support of my students and community, as well as my desire to honor my late-grandfather's legacy. As the namesake of this scholarship fund, Ken Larson was a high school social studies teacher and mock trial coach for nearly 40 years. He is the reason I chose to become a high school teacher for my own career path. Financing college is difficult for many, and this scholarship fund could be exceptionally helpful to those qualified applicants who are in need of financial aid.
