This scholarship is for any inspiring student with a need who would like to pursue a degree in Math or Science. This scholarship is in memory of my late husband, Hilliard Lee “Tack” Gibbs, Jr. who was a Physical Scientist and worked for the USDA Forest Service in Macon, GA, Missoula, MT and Auburn, AL. In 2014 he retired from the Forest in Auburn, AL after 45 years. He attended Mercer University majoring in Mathematics and Natural Science with a minor in Computer Science. In 1981 he received the US Forest Service Superior Service Award in Washington, DC. and many other awards I can’t list.
