Dear Benjamin, I want to sincerely thank you for selecting me as a recipient of the CF Boleky Scholarship. I feel honored and truly grateful for this recognition. Being awarded this scholarship not only eases the financial challenges that come with balancing full-time studies and work, but it also reminds me of the importance of cherished friendships and the values that CF Boleky embodied. Your support allows me to focus more intently on my Communication studies at Santa Barbara City College, and to continue my journey as a first-generation college student working toward my dream of transferring to a four-year university. Juggling my roles as a nanny and personal assistant alongside school has taught me valuable lessons in leadership and resilience, and your generosity reassures me that my hard work is being recognized. I'm honored to carry on CF Boleky's legacy through this scholarship, especially knowing how much strong friendships meant to them. The moment I got the notification, I texted by best friend Nick and thanked him. I have been a bit misty-eyed all day! Your support has truly impacted my educational journey. As a first-generation college student at CSU San Bernardino, I’ve worked diligently to improve my GPA and stay on track for graduation. Your generosity alleviates some of the financial pressures associated with balancing full-time work, school, and community involvement. Thanks to this scholarship, I can focus more fully on my studies and continue striving toward my goal of graduating and applying for grad school next year.
