Dear Becky, I'm so grateful to have been chosen as a recipient of the Jim Coots Scholarship. It means a great deal to me to be recognized by a scholarship that honors Jim Coots's legacy of helping others heal naturally. I'm glad to have learned about Jim through this scholarship and the values he embodied. Receiving this support eases my financial worries and allows me to keep my focus on both my academic and athletic pursuits. Thanks to your generosity, I can dedicate more energy to my studies and swim training while continuing on my path to becoming a mental health counselor. My life goal is to help those in need, and I hope to use my passion for swimming to raise awareness about mental health. This scholarship brings me another step closer to making a difference in people's lives, just as Jim did.
