When I decided to enroll in nursing school, I was determined. I quit my job and moved half way across the country to enroll in an ABSN. I poured my heart into several scholarships- especially here on this site- yet the age limit prevented my application from even being seen. But nothing was going to stop me from graduating, so I took out loans, focused on my education, and end up graduating with high honors with several ICU job offers before I even passed the NCLEX. There is no age limit to achieving your dreams or starting over, and this scholarship is a solution to the type of scholarship opportunities I wish I had. In this economy, sometimes the first college degree does not lead to a stable career, and I am thankful that I get to help someone who is putting their all into achieving their goals.
