Mission

Milan Alexander graduated from the University of Illinois (2013), studying Agricultural Business. During his earthly pilgrimage he valued most GOD and family. This scholarship was established in his memory to support the next generation of Black business and agricultural leaders pursuing their degrees at HBCUs. The cost of college creates real inequality: many students often juggling work alongside coursework to stay enrolled. The Milan Alexander Memorial Scholarship, created in his name, helps ease that burden by reducing the cost of tuition and books for HBCU students studying business or agriculture. This scholarship seeks to support students with a clear sense of direction in their business or agricultural careers; demonstrating resourcefulness and persistence in the face of financial or personal obstacles and those who can literally speak to their genuine track record of giving back to their community.
