Dear Abigail, Thank you so much for selecting me as the recipient of the CL Proferes Scholarship. I feel truly honored to be part of CaroleLynn’s legacy, someone who clearly lived with compassion and purpose. This scholarship means more than words can fully express. My dad and I have faced a lot over the past few years—financial struggles, but also emotional issues after my mom’s diagnosis and passing. Your support lifts a huge weight and allows me to focus on my education and giving back through causes that matter deeply to me, like mental health and helping underprivileged kids. Soccer has always been a big part of my life, especially as I play overseas in Argentina. It keeps me grounded and connected to who I am—reminding me to lead with heart, just like CaroleLynn did. It’s an incredible honor to be recognized in memory of CaroleLynn Proferes, and I’m glad to have learned about her enduring legacy through this award. Thanks to your generosity, I’ll be able to begin my college journey with greater confidence, knowing that some of the financial pressure has been lifted. This support means I can focus on my classes, work part-time with my insurance license, and continue pursuing my love for rodeo and agriculture without constant worry about costs. As someone who’s deeply passionate about agriculture and determined to build a career that reflects my values, this scholarship brings me one step closer to my goals.
