The education experience at Tech is extremely fast-paced. You have to have a little experience in any class you would take here.

Tech is an amazing school with an amazing community of students and teachers. The students take great pride in attending the school, and there is a lot of school spirit. The science department is full of opportunities and great professors. The location is also beautiful, and there are tons of places to hike and explore.
The math department is quite confusing since the testing center is off-campus. Also, there appears to be some disconnect between the math emporium and the professors on campus.
Beautiful campus with a diverse student population. The food is amazing and the professors are the best.
It is in the middle of nowhere
I liked how everyone seems to care for each other, this school creates a great feeling of comradery.
I was nervous about coming to Virginia Tech because it's a predominantly white institute (PWI) and as a first-generation college student, I didn't have any idea how to transition into college. The people at Tech were so welcoming! There are many cultural clubs to support Black and first-generation college students and I'm so thankful that I came here! While some of our stem programs can be improved, I'm happy with my courses.
The math department is not good. Since it's a PWI, there are times when I wish the school did more support minority students. We're located in southern Virginia, so the community off-campus is extremely different.
Super welcoming environment, friendly people, and awesome professors.
Very large campus so it can be hard to navigate, but using the bus system it’s amazing.
