Bio

I am a visual journalist, writer, and scientist, with an enduring sense of curiosity and adventure. In terms of goals, I have a strong investment in the concepts of justice and equity. Ergo, I am committed to fighting corruption, fraud, and abuses of power. My unique background in science and media makes me particularly well equipped for a role in investigative journalism. My passions include solving puzzles and searching for mysteries. I display a varied skillset, including both analytical thinking and creativity. I aim to produce original compelling stories, genuinely reflecting the subjects' experiences. My aspiration is to work in the news, so that I can make the world a more fair and transparent place. I have a fresh perspective, an eye for visuals, and the ability to elevate underreported voices through my work. Since graduating college, I have faced a great many challenges, both personal and professional. I've struggled with finances and unemployment during the coronavirus pandemic. I've observed many of my friends experiencing similar circumstances. These trying times have reinforced my belief that truth, sincerity, and empathy are direly needed in public discourse. I felt driven to apply for a Masters degree to gain the tools to become a seasoned investigative reporter.
