I am currently a senior in high school who plans to attend a 4-year college. I strive to become a healthcare provider in my future. I plan on majoring in biology once I am in college and I am determined to graduate medical school with a medical doctor (MD) degree. Friends and Family are big motivators, however none of this would be possible without God!

I aim to reach my goal of becoming a healthcare provider, specifically as a primary care physician, with the aim of making a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and communities. Growing up in a family of healthcare providers has taught me the values of service and compassion, igniting a desire to follow in their footsteps. Witnessing the dedication of my family members has been a constant source of motivation, shaping my aspirations and commitment to this path.
From an early age, I felt the need from within to help others, especially those facing challenges that need the assistance of others to overcome. Watching the news or hearing stories about people in need struck a nerve and inspired a sense of responsibility. These moments fueled my heart with the desire to provide direct patient care. I am able to envision my future as one where I am not only a provider but a leader and someone who advocates for my patients’ health and well-being.
I know the path to becoming a primary care physician is a path that demands for resilience, empathy and hard-work. I am also aware of the challenges that are ahead, from the difficult coursework to the intensive training I will receive, but I know when time comes, I will be ready to tackle them head-on. Primary care is often the first line of defense in healthcare, and I believe that by practicing in this field, I can contribute and make differences in people’s lives.
My family’s commitment to healthcare has shown me that the impact of a dedicated provider can go far beyond their patients. My father being a pharmacy tech and my mother being a Certified Nursing Assistant. Each of which have been working in their jobs for over 10 years. I not only strive to continue this tradition of service, but also expand on it by reaching more people and communities that may lack essential healthcare.
The road to becoming a healthcare provider is not always easily financially accessible and the relief provided by this scholarship would help allow me to focus on academic success without the constant worry of financial strain.
I am deeply committed to giving back to my community, both now and in the future. I see healthcare as more than a career, but a calling that would allow me to contribute positively to society, just as my parents have. This scholarship would bring me one step closer to my dream of becoming a primary care physician, empowering me to offer compassion, competence, and care to those who need it most. Through this career, I hope to make a lasting difference, honoring the values my family has instilled in me and forging a path that reflects my dedication to service and community well-being.
