The location is awesome. I know the school is important but having local trails and the waterfront easily accessible was a great outlet to decompress or hang out with friends so I could come to class with good energy. All of my teachers were super kind and brilliant, office hours were great and they were supportive.
I transferred from running start and not all of my credits transferred so it was annoying having to take extra classes that I really didn't need.
It is a beautiful campus but remembers that in such a big school, it is important to push yourself out of your comfort zone.
The honors program has its problems and even though Eden's hall is gorgeous and has a great location, there is no life in the dorm.
The Inclusive and inviting community on campus is amazing and is what colleges should strive to build.
Be aware that every college comes with its quirks and because of the popularity of the courses, it may be difficult to get into the courses in a timely manner.
Western provides many opportunities for students, you just have to take advantage of them to make it worth it. They offer fitness, clubs, outdoor supplies, activities, and educational workshops that truly enhance your experience. Participating in these also allows for expanding your social circle!
The dining and dorms are iffy, and some professors are problematic.
It's a small enough college so that it doesn't feel overwhelming, while still being large enough to have a lot of options and opportunities.
