100% of students
I think Western Carolina University has created an environment tailored for its students. They focus a majority of their resources on student success, and they also advocate for our well-being.
The only thing that I do not like is that the school is in the middle of nowhere, but at least, we have a decent view of the mountains.
I enjoyed my time at WCU. I was able to receive a well-rounded education, had opportunities for growth, and enjoyed campus activities.
More school-sponsored activities.
I have had a wonderful experience at Western Carolina University. I have had amazing instructors who care about their students and work hard around the clock to support them. I will use what I have learned at WCU throughout my professional career.
Western Carolina University is located in a small town in Western North Carolina. It does not have much of a nightlife, and may not be for you if you are more into the social scene.
Being able to connect with different students and backgrounds. I thought I would be lonely during my time in college, but it was nice to make friends so fast.
The lack of help financially such as equipment. After my laptop broke down in the middle of the semester, there were little to no alternatives the school provided to help. I had to ask my family for money to get one.
WCU's atmosphere was excellent, the classes were kept fairly small therefore the professors were far more available whenever help was needed and far more personable than most other universities.
WCU is fairly far away from any major city and for someone like me who is legally blind and can't drive, that did pose a small issue for me.
WCU is located in the heart of the mountains with beautiful surroundings. WCU has the best professors and interesting classes. There are many waterfalls and hiking trails to experience and explore.
