WHAT I LIKED

Wellesley has an incredibly supportive community and the academics are hard to beat. In every classroom, you'll feel intellectually stimulated and often challenged, always in a kind and respectful way. The social life is definitely distinct from a state school or any college located directly within a city, but the students are very close and through joining organizations, you'll be able to find a close-knit group of friends.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

Wellesley can feel overly small at times, and it can be difficult to branch out socially. If you are a person who enjoys having multiple large groups of friends or if you envision yourself being a part of Greek life or a party scene, Wellesley might not provide that for you.

WHAT I LIKED

I loved the diversity in classes that you could take, and the school's commitment to a true liberal arts education. All of the professors are focused on their students and unlike at other schools, prioritize teaching over research. Even though I couldn't major in the field I am eventually ending up in, Wellesley offered me a quality academic experience to prepare me for the future. They also supported their students in finding internships and outside work or learning experiences.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

The campus is secluded and within a surburban area, which is nice at times because of how pretty the school is, but also means the surrounding Wellesley town is not affordable or always welcoming to students. With the heavy workload, it can feel isolating being on small campus with little to do except schoolwork.

5.0

WHAT I LIKED

A really safe and insular campus that has rigorous academics and an abundance of opportunities.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

Can be a bit isolated.
