This college is good for when you need to catch up on some missed credits, it also has a wide range of programs to help you when you need it.
Most things were not explained, especially financial aid and classes. There sometimes is a disconnect with what needs to be done.
Student Engagement, Disability Center totally amazing! A&P classes are not so great!
A&P classes, Professors don’t seem helpful at all, organized, or reliable!
Going to VolState has been an awesome experience. Even though it is just a community college, I’ve enjoyed my time there. Almost all of my professors have been great, and I’ve made friends with several of the other students. I would recommend VolState for getting an associate degree and making the transfer to a university an easier, less overwhelming experience.
The online classes aren’t so great often, so try to go in person.
It is a clean and peaceful environment. The academics are incredible.
I did not see a prayer room for students.
I really like the intimate nature of Volunteer State, and how the professors are willing to help out their students' needs.
I did not like the distance between the students, and not much social interaction.
I liked how the professors actually cared about their students and the office workers did their best to help figure out any problems that might happen.
It's not a very big campus, but it is a community college and not a university.
