UWM is an amazing city school- so close to the city and events for students and the general public of Milwaukee. My most favorite thing is the easy transportation on our free bus passes we get through the school because it allows me to explore the campus and the city and truly live a fun college life! My major is also going swimmingly well and the teachers are so supportive and make it a personalized experience (as a musical theatre major).
Not much! The dorms are typical living commendations for students, but still, they aren't the best. Cambridge, Riverview, and Kenilworth students have to deal with the shuttle if they don't have their own car so it is tiresome to rely on a bus for getting to classes and being farther from campus.
There are many things I liked about this school. I liked that students were willing to help one another succeed, the professors cared about their students, and the overall environment was enriching.
I didn't like how the Wi-Fi inside the engineering and mathematical sciences didn't work well when most of the time I was trying to access the internet to do schoolwork.
The education was great. Teachers were ready and willing to help (minus physics. But had ample TA tutors) but literally had tutors and TA’s for every single class out there.
The campus was clicky.
I liked how easily accessible all the professors are. I like that the campus isn’t too big but it isn’t too small either.
Some of the buildings need to be updated and the campus isn’t in the safest area.
If you take the time to look and take advantage of your resources, the university sets you up for success very well!
The food availability is tricky, there aren't many options for night owls!
It's a great campus, with a really diverse group of students. there are endless opportunities available across campus, so get involved!
I was a transfer student who missed orientation, so I had a hard time making friends at first.
