The University of Utah has its highs and lows, as do other colleges and universities. From the professor in your online or in-person class, your experience can differentiate also depending on your existing knowledge of the content. As a first-generation student, I find learning here a bit difficult but there are a lot of people who can guide you along the way. I enjoy the environment and the people around you can help you more than you know.
Some professors are rather strict and some professors do not teach the courses perfectly, making you have to learn the content by yourself. It makes you work harder but sometimes it is hard to navigate the course and learn perfectly.
The views are one of the reasons I chose this place. I need a place where I can relax even though I'm stressed and this university provides me with a place like that. And so far, all of my professors have nothing but been kind to me. They have always been helpful whenever I needed them and they never seem to disappoint me.
The food price range here is not that college-friendly in my opinion. There are times, I don't have the time to pack my food, therefore I have to buy food from campus but I have to rethink it because of the prices.
I love the University of Utah because there are so many opportunities for you to have here.
Sometimes it is difficult to find some information, but normally you can ask someone and they will know how to work the system.
I liked the professors and the ease of being able to register for classes to avoid conflicts. I have enjoyed my overall experience so far
They do not have any option for classes in the evenings that do not overlap. I work full-time in the morning and can only take evening classes. finding 3 classes that don't overlap and aren't completely online has proven to be very challenging
This school has a lot of students, but they show that they care about each one individually, as they set up academic advising, and the teachers and advisors all put in the effort to get to know their students. It's a great environment to learn in, and the students are all very supportive and like-minded.
It's hard to answer this, as the first two years at this school were definitely odd, considering the pandemic going on. Overall, there wasn't much to dislike, other than the uncontrollable online classes, which isn't really the school's fault.
There are a lot of opportunities at the U. They have plenty of scholarship opportunities, especially for low-income students and their student services are amazing.
The U definitely could improve its campus accessibility. As a student in a wheelchair, independence on campus has been an issue.
