I liked that all first-year students had to option of living in a building that had private bathrooms, it was very nice and made it so that living in a dorm is less intimidating.
I did not like the communication between the institution and the students. We were left in the dark about a lot of things and it really feels like they do not care about us in any way, shape, or form, just that they want our money and don't actually care if we are receiving a quality education.
I like the small size and health care focus
It’s small but there’s a lot to get involved in!
This University is perfect for those who enjoy a tight-knit community. It is not too big nor too small. Additionally, the location is excellent for those looking for a suburban area. As for the academics, it is just as good. Most of the courses are well organized. I only completed one-year taking predominantly gen ed courses, but I am hopeful my future courses will be just as good.
Unfortunately, I applied thinking I was going to attend the University of the Sciences all four years, but I was wrong. I would not say the university has lied to us, but rather hid the truth. As you may or may not know, the University of the Sciences no longer exists and is now St. Joseph's University. Having a science school merge with a religious school does not make any sense to me. It is obvious that the higher-ups only care about making money rather than what their students want. Had I known this merger was going to take place, I may not have even considered attending. A merger this big was not a spontaneous decision and was clearly been in the works for years. I would have no problem with the merger if they were open and honest about the decision from the start because I would reconsider attending this University.
