If you are nervous about attending a large college in the city, going to a smaller two-year college or technical school will really pay off. I was able to attend USCL for one year and complete my Associate's degree. Now I feel more prepared for the difficulty of college classes, have better time management skills, and I am less afraid of change and meeting new people.
WHAT I didn’t LIKE
At smaller two-year colleges and technical schools, there is the risk that some courses you take won't transfer to a four-year college if you plan to transfer later on. There is also less courses and professors, so any issues with students or professors are a bit harder to deal with.
I think USCL is a great 2-year college to start a degree at, and then transfer to finish. You get quality education and instruction without the big campus price tags.
WHAT I didn’t LIKE
There is a limited selection of degrees you can obtain from here, but that is due to it being such a small, 2-year campus.
While we do our best to show up-to-date information, due to COVID-19 and other factors out of our control, it is possible that the data we are showing about test requirements, application deadlines, and more, are inaccurate. Please verify with the college itself via their website to ensure you are aware of all requirements and deadlines.
