The University of Richmond provides students with exceptional opportunities both within the classroom and outside. It is a small university but with many connections to major cities like Washington D.C. and New York City.
Be aware that the size lends itself to feel more like a high school environment since everyone knows each other.
Overall, I really enjoyed my freshman year at the University of Richmond. The academics are stellar and the professors that I had were both highly intelligent and a joy to have in the classroom. My most fond memory in the classroom was performing my final singing performance for class voice. My professor for that class helped me improve so much and she has inspired me to continue my singing journey.
The only real issue that I think students should be aware of is that registering for classes can be very stressful. With a small school comes fewer seats for each class so competition for certain classes is very high.
I liked the financial aid package given, it was very generous. As a low-income, first-generation student, this was my main priority at university. The food is good, the programs are great, and academics are satisfactory despite it being Eurocentric
It’s racist, segregated, does not care for BIPOC students, Zionist supporting school, sexual assaults happen monthly, PWI, very unsafe for women and those who belong to a marginalized group, the administration only cares about money and image of the school, hate crimes happen frequently, school disregards the racial history of the school, promotes exclusion, environmentally unaware, ignorant faculty, disregards the mental health of students.
