The education is great at New Haven. It is all about what you make of it and making sure you take the opportunities that they are sending out. It's a nice enclosed campus within good distance of things to do and places to go.
If you plan on bringing a car come your sophomore year, be prepared for the trek to the north campus to get your car every time you want to use it. And the parking tickets are super annoying.
The community and professors were willing to help.
Some hire up resources aren't the best
My university experience was good. I had a good circle of friends and had good teammates to play tennis with. If you're looking for a good academic experience in stem, forensic science, or any other science courses this is the school for you. My university did not prioritize the field of art but I still had a great education, have a good relationship with my professors, and learned a lot along the way. Food was ok and housing could be better but what other schools don't have the same problems as these.
Be aware of what professor you taking classes with some can be hard and others are a lot easy on you. Make friends in your first year, try to get out there as much as possible, and be in a lot of clubs. I regret not taking any. Time management is key to balancing your social life and school.
The University of New Haven has a wide array of Advisors who are committed to working with you step by step for anyone to achieve their goals.
The University of New Haven is very expensive and won't change an incoming scholarship based on academic merit.
The care and respect that Professors have for their students are very plausible and I always wanted a place where I can have Professors that are relatable and I found that place in UNH. Their facilities and buildings are top-notch as well as the level of educational standards.
As I new student at UNH, I didn’t like the fact that most of my fellow students didn’t relate with me as much as I would. Also, do not like the fact that it was difficult for me to make real friends as I spent most of my time alone studying or doing other academic work.
