I enjoy the calm atmosphere. I wish they had more campus events and made more diversity efforts. But it's an excellent place to go to school and leave on time because classes are readily available. There are plenty of quiet places to study.
WHAT I didn’t LIKE
I think students should be aware that there is limited campus transportation, but we have Walmart runs from the dorms once a week. Get on the waitlist for the MaineCare so that you have an assigned doctor for immunization, checkups, etc. . The cost of rent is spiking up so apply on time to be on campus. If you are a nursing major you may have to go into other cities like Bangor, and Caribou for clinicals so get your license or carpool with someone. Bring winter clothes and a fan because there is no central AC system in the dorms. Also the kitchen I dirty so please clean up after yourself and keep your kitchen material in our dorm room.
I am a commuter student but I have found the campus easy to navigate and the student population very friendly. My classes have had great professors and no surprises.

It is in Presque Isle so be aware of tough winters.
