I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the different types of people you could find on campus. There was a surprising amount of ethnic minority groups on campus that really made me feel included.
WHAT I didn’t LIKE
I was not prepared for the difference in course work from high school to college which took a little time to adjust to.
I love the University of Iowa for its large campus full of diverse students and with a ton to do for activities. It is a great place to be! Great professors and the education program prepare you to be a great teacher!
sense of community, professors, location, the on-campus restaurants and cafes, bookstores, etc., as well as great parks and trails for walking
WHAT I didn’t LIKE

Despite its size, the University of Iowa has resources for each student. The professors want you to succeed and provide support through office hours and TAs.
WHAT I didn’t LIKE
Although I feel safe on campus, it is best to be aware of your surroundings.
