Known for
It has a welcoming environment, and accommodating professors and is the perfect place for the more studious learner.
The only negative is the horrible Wifi.
The community at UCO is very close-knit. Usually, if you need help, someone will be willing to do what they can for you. This goes for in-offices, as well as student needs.
As the years continue, it gets better, but some of the buildings are showing their age. The music building was last updated in the '70s, and it shows.
I am involved on campus which helps a lot with meeting new people. The professors are really nice and want you to succeed. The President is a girl boss and cares about students' input about the university. I am in a leadership council, and it has the best people in it.
One thing you should be aware of is everyone is diverse. You have to come into the university with an open mind. If you are not used to that scenery, adjust to it a bit.
The University of Central Oklahoma is so welcoming and friendly. The teachers, staff, RAs, and just anyone you meet are so kind and will make your experience better. I know I was scared to come to college but, at UCO, I feel comfortable and ready to get my degree.
I feel like this is for a lot of schools but the dining here is subpar. The cafeteria food is very bland and just be aware there's only one dining area open after 8 pm.
I love the campus life of UCO because it's more of a community than a party scene and everyone seems to genuinely care about their education. Their campus is clean and sidewalks are accessible and have minimal damage. The professors are friendly and great at answering questions.
Some professors could have better communication with projects and getting a consoler appointment is sometimes a challenge because of how big their workload is.
The campus is cozy and very friendly and the professors offer many resources for help in school.
