I enjoy the material that we are taught in our courses because it is engaging and diverse. I also like the honor societies that they have available.
I don't like that it's hard to contact some of the instructors in a timely manner because they are usually unable to get back with you in the appropriate time that you may need them.
I enjoyed that when I needed help there were so many options available to me.
My academic advisor was not helpful to my success at TCC.
Community college is great for someone who is working full-time or who has kids or isn’t ready for a university setting. The education here at Tulsa community college is a good one for associates or the programs that are open there but if you’re looking for more than associates eventually have to move to University.
I really liked the teachers at Tulsa community college and the classes available in the availability online.
I appreciate the price of Tulsa Community College. As a Tulsa resident, I was able to receive an associate's degree for free. The cost of college has always been a concern of mine and by going to TCC before moving on to a four year I was able to cut the price of college in half. I also really appreciated the fine art professors. They are very dedicated to the growth of their individual students.
I did not like the lack of academic rigger. Tulsa Community College is one of the best community colleges in the nation, but some of the professors do not feel a need to push the students to improve their skills. I was also disappointed to find there were not many social events or opportunities, especially since I was attending TCC during the pandemic.
Personally, I liked the small classes that allowed professors to focus on the students. My biggest class was about twenty students.
Since there are no dorms I would tell a student to make friends in class.
Students attending TCC are people who are learning to change their lives through education. The teachers are invested in your learning and are willing to accommodate a working schedule. Many students are able to work and attend classes simultaneously, and the availability of tutors is incredible. I also went to a four-year college and the tutoring opportunities were non-existent compared to TCC. If you value your education and want to turn a new leaf, TCC is the place for you. I thoroughly enjoyed my learning experience at this community college.
I actually have no complaints with community college, but I do have some advice, keep track of your financial aid status.
