WHAT I LIKED

The dining halls are nothing to write home about but the professors, at least in the science department, really care about students. they are willing to work with you on deadlines and really seem to enjoy their work.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

the attendance policies for some professors are pretty ridiculous, but that’s only one so far in my experience. the food is also just alright, usually the veggies are either soggy or too vinegary.

WHAT I LIKED

Truman State gave me the best possible education for an exceptional cost. I had the best professors!

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

Really far away from my hometown, the isolated town of Kirksville, with lots and lots of snow. So basically the location wasn't very ideal :/

WHAT I LIKED

Truman State University is a great place for students who are focused on their academics. The professors work hard to help you grow not only in what you are studying but as a person. The class sizes are smaller than some of the other state schools and it is really nice. It's also nice that you can walk across campus in about 15 minutes.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

Truman State is located in a small town, so there might not be as much to do. Truman also doesn't receive as big of a budget like some other state schools like Mizzou. Also, they are working to improve their mental health services, which is really important since students tend to struggle more with mental health here at Truman.

WHAT I LIKED

What I liked most about my educational experience at Truman State University was the connections made with professors, even those outside your major, and their interest in your success. The professors push their students to think from interdisciplinary perspectives.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

What I didn't like is the large amount of pressure on students to perform at the highest academic levels. There is a lack of mental health resources available, which they have recently started to address.
