I loved my time at UM overall-- I met a wonderful group of friends, I liked my professors, the Food Zoo was great, and it is a beautiful campus in a beautiful area. The university had a lot of keynote speakers and great opportunities for students. It's also a liberal-minded city to be in, which was a plus for me. Overall, I had an amazing experience, but I didn't feel extremely well supported when I graduated (job placement wise), but I think that had more to do with my department than anything.
The University did cut a lot of programs when I was attending ('13-'17) due to funding issues. I'm sure COVID didn't help that. Aside from that, I do wish I had more support for finding jobs after graduation, but this could have been a departmental thing.
So many student-led organizations to fit your interests and to branch out!
Nothing, I love it!
