WHAT I LIKED

I’m still a current student attending Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, but so far I’ve really loved it! They provide a variety of opportunities to make friends through campus-organized events and clubs, offer several tutoring services, and are very good at helping provide accommodations in the registering process. Also, who doesn’t love going to school on an island? I highly recommend attending TAMU-CC as a first-year student.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

The only thing I didn’t like is that some of the campus buildings seem outdated, but I picture that being the case for several other campuses. I wouldn’t know for sure because I’ve only ever gone to TAMU-CC. The other aspect I didn’t like is that I feel other campuses have a better reputation and therefore, award more job opportunities to students from other campuses despite GPA and extracurricular activity.

WHAT I LIKED

There are many opportunities on campus to connect with other people just like you! There are also many groups and organizations you can join like the cat club and scuba diving club. The library is also a great place to do homework and to also meet up with a group of friends to have a chat. Plus, subway and starbucks are just right outside in case you get hungry!

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

The college is very pricy. Costs on rent for dorms are pretty pricy with the average rent being between $600 and $700. Tuition is also pretty expensive, but the financial assistance is great!

WHAT I LIKED

I love my professors and how willing they are to mentor me. There are so many fun things to do, and I've met so many amazing people!

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

There aren't enough resources for Latinx students. It's a Hispanic serving institution and there is nothing that would lead you to believe so.
