What I like about SUNY at Fredonia is the small community. I've always struggled with trying to be heard or be noticed on a surface level. When you come to Fredonia you'll be able to have 1 on1 interaction with your professors due to the small class sizes. Moreover, sometimes it can be hard to find resources on campus whether it is for financial resources, mental health, academics, etc. Fredonia has those resources and it's right in the ring of campus, so everything is within walking distance.
What I don't like not just about SUNY at Fredonia is the lack of understanding and listening for its students. I truly believe if they stick by their word and put in the work to accommodate the students of color on their campus.
I liked how everyone is willing to help you at SUNY Fredonia. I also like the students that go there. They’re friendly and welcoming.
I didn’t like the quality of the food that much.
The help from advisors and professors from around the school has allowed me to become more comfortable in a new environment. Overall, I have enjoyed my new college life here due to how openly welcoming and generous the community is here and I am thankful I chose to go here.
The main thing to be aware of would most likely be the students you meet. Make sure you look on ratemyprofessor for the professors here too, because unfortunately as nice as this campus can be it still has it's downs and there is times it has failed it's students.
I'd say I like the town the most it's cute and small. Also not really much to eat after 9 pm on campus, the academics are pretty manageable as well. Overall I'd rate this school a 6/10 they have lots to work on. Oh and if you have a car good luck trying to find parking that isn't halfway across campus.
Bad food, almost every building hasn't been updated recently, they put all their money into the wrong things. Dorms are gross, especially Freshman ones, and the washers in dryers are terrible unless you live in UC or TownHouses.
