Diverse student body. Great opportunities to join clubs and other social organizations. Students can access health services‚ gym‚ as well as Gator groceries (box of free food) for those facing food insecurity.
SF State is a commuter school‚ so you definitely have to put yourself out there and actively find events if you want to maximize your college experience.
I'm a remote student, but I find their professors and staff to be really supportive.
What I like about San Francisco State University is that I finally have a place where I fit in. I feel like I belong here, which is something that I have not felt in a really long time. Everyone is so chill and accepting of each other, and it is amazing!
The only thing that I don't like is the minor inconvenience of my on-campus apartment building being on the opposite side of campus where my classes are. But it really is not that bad.
There is always something fun going on around the campus to get involved in the school or club activities.
I can’t think of any.
I'm currently attending San Francisco State and it's been one of the best decisions I've made. the state has helped me overcome obstacles and has also improved my skills while I've attended. teachers are very flexible and understanding, and the campus is filled with amazing peers and staff.
I think San Francisco State University is a nice school with respectful teachers and the learning environment is safe. I am happy with the education I’m receiving academically.
The biggest issue with the experience of being a student here is the cost of living. There aren’t many resources that help you financially. However, other resources are extremely helpful such as advising and the DPRC. I like this school's academics, the cost is just too high.
