I love the amount of space I have in my dorm. This is a corner apartment. There are 4 bedrooms, and 4 baths, you also get a full-size bed. The rooms could be bigger but, for the amount of privacy you receive, I would recommend this school for on-campus living.
There is a lot of racism and colorism amount the students. I have not encountered this with professors. Many times it is difficult to discern the intentions of people on this campus. Some befriend you to sort of... observe you yet, some are genuine. Be selective of who you choose to keep company, it's a small school with an even smaller minority count.
This is only my first year at Salisbury University, but I’d 100% recommend it. It has amazing academic programs and the advisors are very helpful! The dining hall is full of delicious food and they have options for individuals with food sensitivities. They also have many food places and cafes around campus. It was an extremely welcoming place for freshmen!
I do not have anything bad to share about Salisbury University. The dorm rooms seem as if they could be updated a little.
How small the campus is; everything is within walking distance which helps with my disabilities.
Racism (PWI), transphobia, homophobia, and ableism at Salisbury University. Faculty and administrators will not be too helpful if you’re going through harassment.
Salisbury is great! The resources available to you are far more worth the cost of the institution. From the award-winning library to the food. There are also multiple student organizations so there is truly something for everyone. Unfortunately as an African, some getting used to but Salisbury seems to be working on its treatment of minorities.
If you are a BIPOC get used to the culture shock. Also, the environment has a lot of food-eating places but not too too much to do outside of campus.
