The Presidential Scholarship is a special award reserved for Vermont’s top students attending Saint Michael’s College. Awards begin at a minimum of $17,000 and go up to full-tuition. The Presidential Scholarship can be renewed each year for a maximum of four years* of full-time enrollment in good standing. As a premier Saint Michael’s academic scholarship, the Presidential Scholarship supersedes any other Saint Michael’s merit scholarship.
Candidates for the Presidential Scholarship must be nominated by their high school’s counseling office and complete their application for admission by November 1.
All accepted first-year undergraduate students are automatically considered for generous merit-based scholarships in recognition of academic achievement and promise. A student’s complete academic record is considered when determining eligibility for these awards, including high school GPA, strength of schedule, and SAT/ACT scores (if submitted). The Admission Committee also considers commitment to service, leadership, work ethic, school/community engagement, and ability to overcome obstacles in their merit aid decision-making. Test scores are NOT required for merit scholarship consideration.
Eligible students are automatically considered.

Professors are often very accommodating and easy to get along with. I always feel respected in our classrooms and I enjoy the close knit settings we are taught in
The lack of first generation services
I obtained great education from Saint Mike's. The professors were friendly and knowledgeable. The campus life is excellent as well. People are friendly, it's easy to get involved and make friends. Some of my best friends today are from Saint Mike's! In addition, the education I received from Saint Mike pays off in my daily work life.
Dining hall food wasn't my favorite.
I love the people and the community they build. I especially like seeing familiar faces every day.
With my experience, I honestly don't have anything bad to say.
My favorite aspect of Saint Michael's College is the amazing community that surrounds you when you join the school. All the faculty, staff, and professors are understanding, friendly, genuine, and compassionate. The students who attend the college are also very welcoming and supportive where you will always have a friend to comfort you when you are having a bad day. The small class sizes allow for affective personal attention and close connections with your professors and peers. The campus and surrounding mountains and lake are absolutely gorgeous in every season allowing for a close connection to be created between the student and nature.
Saint Michael's College is a little farther from home than I would have liked, so settling in sometimes fluctuated.
Saint Mikes is great, however it is important to note that because it is such a small school you will likely know everyone, and there isn't exactly a lot of choices because of this.
Saint Michael's College is a wonderful and friendly place. There is no other school quite as dedicated to the wellness and success of their students in every aspect of their lives from mental health to academics.
My biggest concern is the heat in the first year dorms.
