WHAT I LIKED

Ringling prepares you for your field a lot and has a lot of resources to help you get a job. They are very thorough and make sure you are up to date on current industry standards.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

My only caveat is to be aware of the expense and think about if Ringling is right for you. If you're going into animation and have the money, I definitely recommend it, but if you can pursue an equally good program for less money, like film or illustration, I totally would. It's not for everyone and you really have to figure out if it's right for you.

WHAT I LIKED

A great school if you are willing to work hard and are already have decent art skills before entering the school. You also need to be cognizant of your level in art compared to industry professionals and how competitive the job industry is. From your freshman year you should be working creating your portfolio, researching potential jobs, LinkedIn and a resume. The newer dorms are great but the older ones have more problems and the food is pretty gross but they are making a new dining hall. The administration can be dismissive and tries to cover up anything that ruins their image instead of tackling the root of the problem and why those issues happen. All in all the education is amazing but everything else is pretty meh.
