These schools are similar to Rasmussen College-Illinois in key aspects like size, setting, and academics.
100% of students
I went to a community college and the staff, professors and even the students were all so rude. It was very dog eat dog. I left that college due to dissatisfaction and found Rasmussen. The staff is really nice and my grades are better than they’ve ever been.
Some students are unkind. Certain professors will take 2 months to respond to emails.
The program is accelerated and a lot of the lectures are online which helps save money on gas.
The nursing program is extremely fast-paced, rigorous, and expensive. The program is mainly self-taught so you'll be okay if you do well with independent studying. I believe students with previous healthcare experience will have a better time in this program than those without. Completing this program is possible, but it is a lot of work with zero flexibility. The program is accelerated and the staff will not hesitate to remind you of that commitment whenever you are struggling or need help. The majority of students attending our adult students who are changing their careers. I would not recommend this program if you are fresh out of high school because it isn't very forgiving.
In honesty, they have a good variety of teachers. It is a small building with just classrooms and a lab room with a lounge area and vending machine; they do not have a cafeteria.
There is no cafeteria; bring your lunch, and the lab and clinical teachers teach better than your lecture teachers, but the lecture class is the main class that matters for passing.
