Pacific University is a diverse learning community offering a unique combination of nationally recognized undergraduate, graduate and professional programs in the arts and sciences, education, business, optometry and the health professions. Pacific’s focus on teaching and learning in a close nurturing environment leads to genuine transformation in students’ lives. About one in four of our students — from freshmen to future doctors — are the first in their families to attend college. Each experiences greater socioeconomic growth as a result of their education, compared with peers at other colleges in the PNW. Our students mix their rigorous academic experiences with meaningful research, community engagement and life experiences, helping them become successful and active citizens and leaders. We put a premium on small classes and personal attention. We want our students to call Pacific “home” and with so many programs waiting for you - we cannot wait for you to join our Boxer Family!

I like how pretty the campus is, how good all of the professors are, the wide variety of classes and majors, how everyone is welcome here, and the welcoming feeling of the campus.
It is an expensive school and I will be in debt for a long time.
I liked the educational opportunities that I was given by Pacific University. I was able to conduct research as a sophomore and present at a large conference in Portland.
Pacific does not have the social aspect of a large university, nor does it have large sports events. The president seems to only care for her salary and does not interact with students much at all. If you are not liberal, you will not fit in at this campus. They do not make an effort to make other political affiliations feel welcomed on campus. You can get a comparable education at a community college or state school for much cheaper.
