There are mandatory events like revival, hall meetings, and A mandatory basketball event to celebrate the basketball players. The dorms have problems. There can be hot water issues that have happened 3 times across campus dorms in the 21-22 school year. Twice in one of the upperclassmen dorms. This school is great if you love Jesus and like to apply the Bible to every little thing. Plus burn holes in your pocket with the tuition cost. They are nice to the guest's eyes, but as a student, there are problems and issues that they tend not to be on top of or it takes forever for them to fix the issue.
One of my favorite things about Oral Roberts University is the fact that there is a reason for almost every rule that lines up with biblical principles or the original vision that Oral Roberts himself had for the university. Even though it's a young school, the president takes pride in its history and the fact that there are still teachers in the school that have known Oral Roberts in the past makes it even more amazing.
The cafeteria food could be better, but I think that the University is working on that.
Excellent community. The teachers actually care about their students and helping them succeed, not just a paycheck at the end of the month.
The dining hall needs some improvement, more space, and more diverse food options.
Oral Roberts may seem like a strict private school on the outside, but when there you will meet a variety of cultures, and to me, that is meaningful and fun. All the different people you meet there are so nice and outgoing and are interested in telling you their stories.
Some of the rules they have seem, outdated, like the rule of open dorms only being on Sunday from 1-4 pm. They also have a curfew for the Freshmen students at 1 am.
I love Oral Roberts University it is literally my home away from home. I’ve met so many lifelong friends at the school and great professors who are there to help and see you succeed.
The one thing I say I don’t like Is the food sometimes. I wish we had better option and more options to choose from
