Expensive tuition, especially out of state, it's mainly an engineering school, and there are honestly not a lot of things to do in Rolla, but if you find a good crowd, you can have fun.
WHAT I didn’t LIKE
Expensive. A lot of the professors act like they run the entire place and there is not a lot of funding that ends up going to things that actually need to be updated.
This school is great at balancing experience with education. It provides an excellent quality education ensuring you are prepared to go into the workforce.
WHAT I didn’t LIKE
Education is difficult but worthwhile. You will have to work hard to do well however you will learn the material well. When you come out of it ready to enter the stressful environment of the workforce.
Small town, not a lot of places to go or recreational things to do. However, the Information Science program here is very good, great professors, cheap living, and cheap tuition.
I like how many opportunities there are for networking and finding different jobs. It is an accredited university, so finding a job after graduation will be a bit easier. The academics are very challenging but rewarding. It is good to get involved in a few activities during school in order to have friends in those clubs and you're not only focused on studying.
WHAT I didn’t LIKE
It may be easy to pay off but make sure to apply to many scholarships so you do not have to worry about expenses. Also, it is not the party scene as often as many would like to think.
