WHAT I LIKED

I love the atmosphere at Michigan State. I understand attending a large university out of high school can seem daunting, but it is great because there are so many different organizations and clubs to join, you will definitely find something to enjoy! The campus is beautiful and my educational and social experience at Michigan State has been great!

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

The parking situation for students that live on/off-campus is not ideal, but the bus system tries to make up for it.

WHAT I LIKED

What I like most about this university is its campus layout. You could literally walk around here for hours and don't even have to take the same way walking to class.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

Sometimes the food is meh, most of the time it's good but sometimes it's just not that great.

WHAT I LIKED

I really appreciate how much help the faculty at Michigan State provide for their students. They have office hours and help centers that help you learn class material and prepare you for exams. The faculty at Michigan State genuinely want their students to succeed.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

There is a lot of walking on campus, however, there are buses you can take.

WHAT I LIKED

I love the sense of acceptance and community Michigan State gives you! You always feel welcomed here, and you make friends you never knew you needed, from all kinds of different backgrounds. The academics are also amazing, the professors put in the extra effort with each student to make sure no one is left unheard!

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

Since I have been here, there have been plenty of accidents. A couple of students have passed away due to amount of alcohol consumption. This isn't very uncommon for a college campus, but it is something to keep in mind.

WHAT I LIKED

Making friends is quite easy. The sporting events are amazing I highly recommend hockey games. Overall it was a good time but I think they could accommodate students better. Overall the walks are nice to decompress before going home. Game days are the best days

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

The dorms are not the best and the dining hall food is hit or miss. The walks to class can be long depending on where you live and where your classes are. I think that it is a good school but you get some teachers that are only there for the paycheck.

It is a predominantly white institution, as a black person, it is hard to make friends.
