Choosing Loyola was at the time the best financial option for me, or at least it seemed like it. Going out of state for college can be a challenging transition and it is best to make sure that your college of choice has the resources to make this transition as smooth as possible.
Loyola, like many other universities, prioritizes revenue, and thus as a prospective student, you should keep in mind when the school may choose money over you.
It is a small school, yet you are able to find people that you can actively fit in with. Overall, the mixture of Jesuit beliefs in education reflects that the school has faith in every single student attending. They provide resources for these students.. for everyone to succeed.
The cost management could be better. The dorms, along with food should have more variety
As I’m writing this now I’m at the end of my freshman year, so my opinion may change, but I love it here. I honestly think this school is a hidden gem, especially for music majors who are LGBTQ+. The fashion, the friends, and the staff are all incredible and you won’t find them anywhere else.
The one thing I will say is the dining room has weird hours BUT you can go to Tulane dining hall and use your meal plan. (ps Tulane's common dining room is open from 8 am-10 pm)
