Even though they charge out-of-state tuition it's not a bad school to go to for a bachelor's degree.
They charge state tuition for people that are just 5 minutes across a bridge in another state.
Teachers are willing to help you better understand the material taught and will meet outside of class. Also, everyone here is pretty friendly and will stop to say high to you, even if they are a complete stranger.
There is not a whole lot to do outside of school.
It lacks in so many areas that there isn’t a lot of good to talk about it. As a stature student, I feel like I have wasted money by going there.
The staff is less than helpful, and the professors are poor at best.
I think that Lewis-Clark State College has cultivated an excellent community. Their programs to recognize and celebrate the diversity of their students are plentiful, insightful and truly appreciated. Every educational program and department has been crafted with love and care. It’s a great environment, and I learned so much while I was there, with minimal concern of financial burden. It is an excellent school, I couldn’t recommend it enough.
I can think of little to complain about. There are always a few teachers who are difficult to learn from, but I believe that’s based purely on personality and can’t be helped. I have heard mild complaints about dorms and upper-level administrative politics, but have no complaints from personal experience.
