I like the community of open-minded and intellectual individuals. The campus is extremely welcoming and if you are ever in trouble academically there are many people willing to help.
Since the start of covid, the dining hall has offered less food, lower quality food, and had fewer staffing opportunities. Beware of South Dining hall and treat the employees with respect as they are underpaid.
Overall, as a freshmen student finishing my last semester, I believe this school is great for anyone. Although the school is small, the school offers a lot for students to participate in cultural events around campus and academics-wise. I find that this school is very safe and pretty clean for the most part.
The school itself keeps labeling itself as a "small school". Sure, there are roughly 2,000-4,000 kids in peer grade, but certain buildings get cramped up. Build more buildings. Build enough dining halls or anything to expand the campus.
I enjoyed the community and staff at Kutztown, they are very supportive and strive to help students become successful toward future careers and goals.
The one downside is there are not many options of food, especially for students who are vegetarian or vegan. This is partly due to staffing storage, however, it definitely can be a consideration when applying.
Kutztown University was a great choice to further my education. The social life is spectacular and the people are very welcoming. The art department is amazing. I'm glad I chose Kutztown
I wish the teachers here were more engaging and that we could have more food options on campus
