The professors in the Animal Science department are very helpful and will do anything they can to make you understand the topics. They are willing to make time for you. There are many study spaces and so many organizations and groups/clubs to join; making friends is easy.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

I think many people forget this is college, so they will need to study and stay on top of their assignments to get the grade they want. I also think they should apply for all scholarships possible; it's expensive to go to college. But mostly, they need to find a good balance between social and study life, yes you should study but also leave time to hang out with others.

There is always something happening on campus, whether it be a scheduled event or hanging out in the Student Life Center. Want to take a break from studying or wish to participate in physical activities? The SLC is your place to go!

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

The barbeque chicken is excellent, but be careful whenever you get chicken for lunch or dinner. Sometimes it's not exactly cooked to perfection, and your stomach will let you know. For days.

I'm an online student so I've had a good experience so far with my professors! Online classes come with a lot of deadlines so make sure to work with a calendar. Other than that some exams can be proctored which adds cost to each semester.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

The additional cost of proctoring services High book cost/ science lab needs Not all interesting courses can be covered, instead, you're paying for electives that are needed but partly unrelated to your degree (like personal finances when pursuing a nutrition degree)

It’s been an amazing experience for me. There’s so much to do.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

Kansas State University has a different environment then all other schools with tailgates, friendly neighbors, and Greek life here. This just all came together and showed me that I really want to come here and it was a perfect fit.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

I wish we were a bit bigger of a school and more people looked at it. Also, the recreational center(gym) needs to be expanded.

Showing Livestock

I have enjoyed my Kansas State experience thus far. I am enrolled in the K-States Global campus as that worked best for my situation of wanting to be able to continue raising, promoting, showing, and selling my Shorthorn cattle. Online schooling also allows me to work full time running the office at a local grain elevator. Having the best of all worlds and can't wait to finish up my bachelor's in Animal Science and start my master's in Ag Communications.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

I'm not sure I have had any negative experiences thus far, everyone from professors to administrative office personnel has been extremely helpful.
