The vast majority of professors at Indiana University of Pennsylvania care very deeply about students and their success. The campus is in a beautiful location and has many nice buildings. There are a lot of clubs, ensembles, fraternities, and other groups available for students to be part of. Overall, I have enjoyed my experience here and would recommend it.
While most professors care a lot about students and student retention, other staff such as financial aid and housing workers do not seem very concerned with helping students succeed. The cost of on campus housing and dining is very high, especially considering what the dorms and dining are like. There have been a lot of recent retrenchments of very good professors, which has impacted the morale of students and quality of their education.
It's a perfect size so it's not overwhelming!
The food isn't always amazing but it is usually good.
The Indiana University of Pennsylvania is one of the top colleges in the United States. Ever since I began my studies here I have not been misled or misguided. The faculty and staff at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania are loving, generous, and caring. They want students to genuinely succeed.
Prospective students should always keep up with the status of their finances as well as classes. Always consult with a counselor if you aren't sure about something. They are there to help.
My favorite thing about IUP was the social life and the abundance of Greek organizations. Through Greek organizations like my fraternity "Phi Mu Delta", I have had the opportunity to meet a lot of amazing people and make many connections after college.
I was not a fan of the dorms. They don't give me the feeling of home and I often get homesick due to it.
Student life at IUP has been a wonderful experience. The campus is not too big or small, and classes are close. The university offers many clubs and activities to help the students get involved. The faculty is helpful, and don't be afraid to reach out to them!
I wish they had all the dining places open each semester.
