100% of students
I think that the educational experience I had was a little skewed due to Covid. However, with that being said, most teachers are very willing to work with students and are really good at getting back to students in a fairly timely fashion. Highly recommend!
There are good advisors and bad ones. If you have a tough time with your schedule or you think there might be a faster path to achieve your degree, a second opinion is always good. Don’t be afraid to get a new advisor.
Illinois Central College gives students a more affordable option to complete their schooling.
I do not have anything I haven't liked
ICC offers many resources to the local community and is a great option to attain your educational goals. Class schedules are flexible and the faculty are very helpful. Thankful for the opportunities the school has given me.
Financial services and general class advisement are a mess
I like that their online classes are very flexible and easy for me to learn and catch onto things without being in the classroom! The library is very helpful and anyone I have ever had to ask for help has always been very helpful!
Class size and availability of instructors
Can be confusing getting around the different campus sites
I chose ICC because it was the best choice for me financially and allowed me to continue living with my parents. I was able to go through ICC without any debt as I received a couple of scholarships and the rest out of pocket was manageable. All in all, it's a good school to get those general education requirements out of the way before pursuing bigger goals.
Sometimes the academic counselors are not always the most helpful. I dealt with various counselors who seemed they had no idea what they were doing. I did meet one who was extremely helpful, but she now holds a different position.
