WHAT I LIKED

Humboldt State has one of the top environmental programs with the addition that the classroom setting is not your typical classroom, you will be doing research outside.

WHAT I LIKED

Humboldt is the place to go if you're interested in the STEM field and love nature. It's a smaller town, so if you want city life this might not be your place. However, if you like to explore Humbodlt is the place as it has the beach, the forest, and more within 15-20 minutes of the campus.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

I think the one thing I don't like about Humboldt is that there aren't many typical "chains." If you want the available options you typically have to drive 15+ minutes for options.

WHAT I LIKED

Humboldt State is a great university for getting hands-on experience out in the field or in a lab. Classes are small enough that you can be personable with your professors and there is always helpful with anything you need.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

There are multiple homeless people in the surrounding area. Just a heads up to be careful.
