The best part about beginning your college experience at HFC is, that you can save money to help pay when you transfer to a university.
Due to the pandemic last year we weren't allowed to attend camps. All students had to complete their classes either virtual or independent online. Honestly, I did not enjoy being at home
I like how teachers engage with us.
That we weren’t prepared for the test.
The way that it is an accessible college.
Not enough programs.
I like how small the school is and professors are less stressed about daily activities.
I don't like that there aren't clubs and it's nothing like a 4-year school.
Because of covid, I do college online. I really like that the advisors and the teachers are easy to get in touch with and they reply no later than a day. Most of the staff are friendly and treat you like an adult. I am a first-generation student so I don't know much about college, the advisors are easy to work with and they are always happy to help me especially when it comes to planning my next courses. They never made me feel bad about needing so much help. They are very understanding and polite. Most of the teachers are really good at their jobs, they love the courses they're teaching and they love to make class fun and educating at the same time.
Not all the professors are what you expect them to be. I had a lot of great professors that met the expectations I had in mind, and some have disappointed me and made me anxious. Students shouldn't be scared to withdraw from a class if the professor doesn't make them feel comfortable and intelligent enough. Don't stay in a class that you hate because it is going to be ten times harder.
The community of people that are within the school.
More of a commuter school not a lot of living options.
