WHAT I LIKED

Deans and heads of departments in my area of study have been excellent in helping me when things are not going well. They are understanding with students who have disabilities and they have a ton of resources to help any and all students. They have been short-staffed this year but I do not hold that against them. However, it has caused some strain on student college relationships. Tuition is very affordable and the staff is nice and typically helpful in all parts of the school. Try out Greenville Technical College, you will find that you get an excellent education, for a great cost, with plenty of helpful resources, and lots of flexibility, and their university transfer program will save you a lot of money. This is the 2nd time I have been a student at Tech and I do not have complaints.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

They need more staff. This is not their fault. The pandemic has taken a toll on everyone. I can't even get my order correct at Arby's.

WHAT I LIKED

It was a very easy transition from high school to college!

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

It did not have a total "college" feel since it is a community college, but it was a great stepping stone to a 4-year university.

WHAT I LIKED

In my journey so far at Greenville Tech, I have had some incredible professors. They truly care about their students and are willing to go beyond what is expected to help you succeed. Greenville Tech as a whole is definitely a "you get what you put in" type of school. There are lots of opportunities for students but you must be willing to put in some work in order to get the most out of your time here. I am very pleased and thankful with my experience so far.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

Look into your professors before registering for classes and ask fellow classmates for advice on upcoming courses. There are lots of tools and resources available to students at GTC, so many that you might miss the memo so meet with your advisor and search the college website to see what is available, especially if you need extra help in a specific course.
