These schools are similar to Grand Rapids Community College in key aspects like size, setting, and academics.
100% of students
There are lots of different types of resources and support available to students- both academic, financial, and personal.
It's small enough that you'll know most people in your program, and the class sizes max about 35 people.
Open times for classes vary a lot, and they fill up very fast.
There is no specific part they are amazing.
The professor is very understanding and helps the student achieve their goals.
Making friends is the difficult part as everyone has different goals and activities.
Personally, I love the community at GRCC the faculty and staff are always looking out for students to make sure everyone has the best opportunities to succeed and students like myself are really able to connect and collaborate to elevate our college experience and what we get out of it.
Because the main campus is in the heart of the city, parking can be a bit tricky/ expensive sometimes.
Grand Rapids Community College is a great college to start off at if you want to save some money in the long run. After GRCC, I plan on transferring to GVSU in order to pursue my bachelor's degree. I feel so much more comfortable that I chose to start off here because I'm on track to finish college with a moderate to low amount of debt.
I think the only negative I may have is that since it's smaller than most colleges the convenient classes are capped at 25 people or sometimes 11-14.
