I loved the small space and open facilities for everyone to enjoy free time .
I didn’t like the academic teaching policy nor standards .
I like the programs GSW offers as it feels like a small-knit community in Americus. I'm a commuting student so I don't get a chance to attend many of the more social events GSW plans. I have been able to participate in organizations and a club which I enjoy because it allows me to get a view of how campus life is from the people I work with. GSW offers counseling services and I got a chance to speak with Mrs. Alma Keita who is a huge help to GSW students who need counseling. Our college may be small, but it is interconnected with faculty and staff trying to enhance the academic, social, and mental side of college.
My only dislike of the university is a lack of faculty who are in an ethnic minority group. This is a statistic that isn't rare to see in colleges, but it is imposing on some students such as myself. With concerns such as Imposter Syndrome, it is hard to not see a need for encouragement from people who are alike and dislike yourself.
