I enjoyed the classrooms and how they were not super large. This was a comfortable experience and made it feel like I was in a high school classroom. The campus is very social and not super large. The buildings are all relatively close and extremely accessible for students. The professors were nice and were open to meetings and emails if you needed extra help.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

I enjoyed everything at GCSU.

I really love the culture of the Biology program at Georgia College. It was very collaborative and group-oriented--professors genuinely care about their students and take the time to get to know you. My only complaint is that the location could use more attractions. Macon is about 30 minutes away if you want to do something, but there is not much else nearby.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

My complaint is that the location is not what I expected. There is a movie theater, dungeon, daiquiris, etc., but you have better luck in Macon finding stuff for college students to do.

Georgia College feels like home. It is small enough that you don't feel swallowed but big enough that it feels, unlike any place I've ever lived. Coming here was easily one of the best decisions I've ever made.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

There aren't many on-campus dining options that are available all the time but there are many restaurants downtown.

I liked the numerous opportunities for the community that GCSU offered through various on-campus activities, clubs, and organizations. I also liked the quality of education presented. All the professors were very good and various programs were highly rated in comparison to other programs within the state or even the nation. The campus was also something that drew me in. It is beautiful with a large green front lawn and historic buildings.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

When deciding what I wanted to pursue in college, I sought help from advisors from GCSU. Unfortunately, I did not have a very good experience with them. They lacked information and guidance. Although I have heard from students at other universities that this is something that they have also dealt with, maybe it is not just GCSU that is lacking in their advice/guidance for students.
