It's a very friendly and calm school for people of all ages to further their education.
There's not much connection with other students outside of class/school. It can be hard to make long-term friends at times.
All of my professors have been excellent. Great teaching techniques, amazing availability outside of classes. Advisors respond super quickly and have a ton of available resources that they’re always happy to provide and help with. My advisor knows me personally and reaches out to check-in. I’ve had a great experience so far.
There could be more on-campus options for things like food and study areas.
I like that the tuition is less expensive than at a 4-year university. There are also many resources available, such as academic planning and career counseling.
Sometimes the campus seems dark and uninviting.
Front Range Community College is great for adult and part time students. The teachers understand the constraints of your time and life and happily work with you to accommodate your schedule.
FRCC is not a college to go to if you want "the college experience." I already had a bachelors degree and was going for just a couple of pre-requisites for my next degree, and for that, it was perfect.
